This policy explains what data Log06 collects when a dealership organization uses the product, and why. Log06 is a business-to-business logbook tool; end users are employees of the organizations that subscribe, not consumers.
What we collect
Log06 stores the following data as part of each log entry (one recorded use of a dealer plate):
- Driver name — entered manually by the person logging the trip. It is not pre-filled from any external identity source.
- Vehicle details — VIN, make, and model of the vehicle moved.
- Trip start and end location — captured once at the start of a trip and once at the end. Log06 stores the resulting address as text; it does not store continuous location history or raw GPS coordinates, and it does not track a vehicle's position while a trip is in progress.
- Trip start and end time, and purpose — as entered or captured by the app.
Log entries are immutable audit records: once created, they are not deleted. Corrections are recorded as an update to the entry rather than by overwriting or removing it, so the audit trail stays intact.
Organization and account data
For billing and account administration, we store organization details such as legal name, VAT ID, billing address, and billing email, along with the names and roles of user accounts within that organization.
Why we process this data
Data is processed to provide the logbook service itself and to produce the monthly audit export that dealerships use for inspections by the vehicle registration authority (Zulassungsstelle) and tax authorities. Organization billing data is processed to administer subscriptions.
Retention
Log entries are retained for as long as the organization's account is active, to preserve the audit trail. Organizations should contact us if they need guidance on retention for a specific regulatory requirement.
Your rights
